Jan Erik Kongshaug, a Norwegian guitarist and sound engineer who was essential in the creation of the legendary “ECM Sound” (or “Rainbow Sound”), died November 5 in Oslo, Norway. He was 75. His death was confirmed by the Oslo daily newspaper Dagsavisen. Cause of death was a chronic lung condition.

He is known for his work on A Man Called Ove (2015), Aberdeen (2000) and Grabben i graven bredvid (2002). He was married to Kirsten Steen. He died on November 5, 2019 in Oslo, Norway.
